RHD Fulvia 1.3S 1976.
Very desirable original UK registered RHD model, re-finished in a gorgeous deep blue with full vinyl sunroof which has been re-upholstered.
This car was originally displayed at The Stondon Motor Museum which may well explain it’s good condition and low mileage. For this car I have an old advert for sale in 1993 in which it states that a professional restoration was carried out in 1992 with mileage of 59K. Currently showing 72K so this could well be genuine.
I purchased the car to restore and keep, therefore not cutting corners. I had one of these as a daily driver nearly 40 years ago and loved the fun and handling of it, which is what prompted this purchase. Unfortunately I have decided to sell to help fund another restoration.
Bare metal repaint to change colour to Blue, you would not be able to tell as all door shuts, engine compartment, boot interior have been done correctly. All area’s treated with Dinatrol.
All stainless trims have been polished and are in excellent condition. New front windscreen and rear screen rubber, door rubbers and trim covers. Bumpers are also excellent.
Seats are good condition with new head lining fitted in correct material. Dash board, gauges, etc are all good along with a new set of carpets.
The subframe and engine were removed for painting and cleaning,
New head gasket, Water Pump, timing chain, fuel pump and clutch were fitted, piston bores checked and no sign of wear. Fresh oil and new filters.
A new 123 contactless ignition has been fitted.
A pair of professionally re-furbished carburettors have also been fitted. ( including re-bushed spindles) A Malpassi fuel filter has also been fitted.
A new full exhaust system has been fitted.
New battery and service items fitted. The engine runs extremely well.
You can see that a brand new set of Cromadoro wheels have been fitted, along with new tyres as well as the spare.
New front shock absorbers fitted. All the brake calipers have been stripped, cleaned and new seals fitted along with new pads all round.
The Master Brake cylinder has been refurbished with new seals, spring, etc.
New flexi pipes to front calipers and some new copper pipes where needed.
New flexible fuel lines fitted. New heater control valve and cable have been fitted.
As you can see from the photo’s the car is now in beautiful condition, ready to be used and be enjoyed.
Even though this car has an Historic Tax Class making it MOT exempt I have had an MOT carried out for peace of mind and so there is a new, years MOT with the car.
There are many LHD models coming into the country, but I am sure that we would all prefer a RHD as it is meant for this country. These RHD models in this condition are becoming much rarer, this car has been done with great care and attention to detail.
Personally I prefer the more interesting front with the raised headlights of the RHD.
