My much cherished Low mileage 1250 Bandit is at the moment sleeping under two covers in my garage. I bought it having done only 4000 miles.19 months later it has now done 13,300 trouble free miles. Always starts first time and has never missed a beat, it's a peach of an engine with masses of torque from 2000 revs. The bike has never seen rain or a wet road, as the complete lack of corrosion will bear out. Has to be one of the best out there.
The only reason I am selling is that my 70yr old bones are telling me that I should be down sizing to a lighter less powerful bike. Oh! the pitfalls of growing old. My driving style is one of smoothness and never stressing the engine. 99% of my riding is done at 3000 revs or 58mph. New tyres were fitted at 7000 miles. The rear tread was 7mm deep and still measures 5mm after 6000 miles which gives an indication on my driving style.
Since purchasing the bike I have fitted various after market additions. i.e.
Electronic gear indicator
Front fender extender
Stainless radiator grill cover.
Recently, I have also fitted :-
Touring Screen (not shown in pics)
Oxford Advanced Heated Grips
And fabricated an extra set of Easy-Rider Foot pegs for comfort on those long journeys. as shown in pics.
Oil and Filter just changed, done 243 miles since.
Chain thoroughly cleaned, tensioned and lubricated.
Included, is a full set of new brake pads still in box.
All bits removed will be included in the sale.
Spare key, Owners Manual, MOT documents and v5.
Downside :- There's a small dent in the side of the silencer as pics show and some very slight marks on left hand engine casing.
