Austin Healey 100-Four (BN1) ‘Le Mans’, year 1955.
Colour Old English white over dark blue combined with a dark blue interior, dark blue soft-top, side-screens and tonneau cover.
This magnificent Austin Healey 100 ‘Le Mans’ was imported from the USA in the year 1997.
The car was extensively restored and overhauled in the past.
During the restoration the following improvements / modifications were incorporated:
The engine was rebuilt to ‘Le Mans’ specifications with bigger S.U. carburettors and a ‘fast road’ camshaft.
A ‘cold-air-box’ was fitted, louvres were added to the bonnet as was a leather bonnet-strap. Furthermore, a special exhaust system was installed, and the car was given disc-brakes on the front wheels.
The brake-system now features dual circuits (front /rear).
The BN1 three speed gearbox and the rear axle were exchanged by a BN2 four-speed gearbox and BN2 rear axle.
A full photo-report of the restoration and the overhaul is present as is a Heritage certificate and a photo-book with the cars’ Dutch history which started in 1997.
