1964 Mercedes 220se fintail diesel REDUCED For Sale
Mercedes 220SE 1964 diesel engine with manual column mount gear change.
This car is a very beautiful old lady indeed and mechanically needs very little other than a good service as she was regularly driven until just a few years ago and started up on the button when I saw her today.
With her faded varnish and pretty chrome she would make a glorious patina ride or merit a restoration.
Finished in dark grey paint with a cloth interior she needs a lot of work but is a very sound base for a restoration.
The typical areas of corrosion to the sill ends and boot and spare wheel well as well as a small area to the drivers footwell will need work but overall she has faired well having lived in the south of France. To the body, the lower edge of the passenger side doors will need work and there is some bubbling to the edge of the boot lid and the edge of the front wings, aside from this she is straight and merits a new paint job and a polish of her chrome to bring her back up to par. The interior is tired and would best be refurbed or a good 2nd hand set of seats and panels sourced.
A very pretty driveable car with superb patina and priced to sell.
