In 1966 the GT Junior series was introduced to offer Alfa's Gran Turismo experience at a 1.3 lt capacity. This provided for affordable taxation mainly in the Italian market. In 1972, the GT Junior 1600 version was released as a median between the GT Junior 1300 and the sportier GTV 2000. Interstingly, Alfa Romeo started incorporating numerous features of the GTV into the GT Junior editions and in 1974 the Junior range was 'Unified' with the 2000 cars. The GT Junior 1600 offered here was produced in 1974 just prior to the unification yet bearing numerous of the 2000 series features. Soon after it was imported in Greece that permitted for a rust free body. It recently received a series-correct 2.0 lt engine transplant and a respray in the original and most attractive Blu Holandese.
