1966 AUSTIN A60 CAMBRIDGE FARINA AUTO 4 DOOR SALOON SOLD
|1966 AUSTIN A60 CAMBRIDGE FARINA AUTO 4 DOOR SALOON|
38000 miles only from new with full history. This motorcar is very smartly finished in snowberry white and cardinal red side strip and wheels with full red leather trim. Affectionately known as Bobby, the car was supplied by Hilldale garage, Seven Sisters Road, London to Mr A Glynn or Hornchurch Essex in 1966. The car was subject to a bare metal full restoration which started in 2014 and finished in 2015. The car remains in excellent condition today and has covered very few miles since the restoration. According to the receipts in the history folder, in excess of £12000 has been spent on this car for restoration and maintenance work on this car. Very few of these cars exist today and automatic versions are even more difficult to source.
The features include period fog and spotlights, period wing mirrors, door mirror, leather trim, front and rear seat belts, servo assisted brakes, twin horns, electric windscreen washers, locking petrol cap, reversing lights, original factory hubcaps and wheel trims, front and rear ashtrays, walnut dash, Phillips radio cassette with extra speakers and aerial, clock, opening quarter lights, side strip in cardinal red ( which is a particularly nice shade of maroon), electronic ignition and unleaded cylinder head. The last owner suffered from a disability and fitted a changeable right to left brake pedal which can be changed from one side to the other with a twist of a switch. However, this can easily be removed if it is not required.
The history folder includes, current and previous V5s, current and previous MoTs from 1972 to date, MoT related paperwork, DVLA paperwork, complete history of ownership. Complete history of the mileage covered from 1966 to present day, garage readout, road tax discs from 1973 to 2018, photocopy of same, bill of sale and receipt, invoices totalling circa £12900, insurance documentation, parts paperwork, correspondence, notes, business cards, Lambrook tyre paperwork, Halfords service maintenance paperwork, Autoglas paperwork, original service MBC passport book stamped up as follows pdi, 489 miles, 1431 miles, 2005 miles, 3429 miles, 4273 miles, 5294 miles, 5900 miles, 20890 miles, 24000 miles and the last one at 36720 miles, original Cambridge Handbook, original Cambridge lubrication chart, original sales catalogue, original Cambridge RAC servicing book, Haynes Owners Workshop manual, NTG Motor services CD.
