This beautifully presented Wolseley 14/6 was first registered on the 21st June 1948. We have history dating back to the 1960's in the form of a brown 'buff' logbook and can confirm the Wolseley was in North London from 1964 to 1970, briefly in Romford Essex prior to moving North to Cheshire in 1971. MOT certificates with the car date back to 1971 when the recorded mileage was 70,000, today the mileage is recorded at 81,500. MOT certificates show just 6000 miles were covered between 1971 and 1994 and regular, but low use has been seen since the 1990's. Since the 1990's the Wolseley has been in Somerset, Cambridgeshire and for the past couple of years with a regular customer of ours in Leeds who has covered 1500 faultless miles with the car.
JYK 996 presents in beautiful condition with a first class, deep, Black paint finish. The car has superb detail throughout with gleaming chrome work, lovely straight body panels and it is no surpise the Wolseley comes with a 2009 'Best in Show' award. The interior is wonderful with stunning leather seats and door cards, re-trimmed at a cost of over £4500. The headlining, woodwork and gauges are all in lovely condition and the presentation under the bonnet and in the boot area match up to the rest of the car. Retaining its original registration mark, this Wolseley really does have appeal and is ideal for shows and weekend use.
JYK 966 drives and performs very well indeed. The car starts up efficiently, the six cylinder engine runs superbly with very good oil pressure and ticks over lovely from cold. On the road this 14/6 boasts a strong brake pedal with sharp brakes, good quality handling, lots of power and a lovely smooth four speed gearbox. JYK 966 really is excellent to drive and a file of reciepts comes with the car detailing recent expenditure to include tyres, rebuilt distributor, various ignition items, rebuilt brake master cylinder and front wheel cylinder kits. JYK 966 is ready to use and enjoy and is in truly stunning condition throughout.
