A quite rare LHD ’66 Ford Lotus Cortina MK1. Built at the Dagenham Ford UK plant in April 1966 and later that year supplied to its first owner in Georgia, the USA. At the end of 1997 the car found its way to Sweden, where it underwent a complete mechanical rebuild and restoration to its original spec. The superb bodywork is nice and straight with perfect body panel fittings. The brilliant paintwork has great lustre. The underbody is in perfect order and colour coded white! The car was MOT`d late 2104 and registered for road use in 2016. Since then the car has only clocked up 742 km!! This is an original LHD Ford Lotus Cortina MK 1 with the famous 106 Hp Lotus 1600 Twin Cam engine with close-ratio gearbox from the Lotus Elan. It has been finished in ‘Ermine White and Sherwood Green’ with a black vinyl interior trim (seats and carpets). In 1966 the total production figure was only 991 with less than 10% being LHD, making this a rare Lotus Cortina MK 1 with an interesting and correct history.
