The Morris Minor is the quintessential British classic car and this example must be one of the most original unrestored Minors in the world.
We have examined it closely and cannot see any evidence of welding repairs to the underside. The paintwork on the body appears to be original throughout with no signs of previous respray work and only a few stone chips and minor marks having being touched in by tiny brush.
The seats, carpets, door cards, roof lining and glove box linings are all original. It still has the original Bonnet Opening Instruction Tag card tied to the bonnet pull handle.
It comes complete with its original registration number ULJ495 and the original Jack in the boot is still in its original brown paper wrapper.
It even has its original Body Plate still in place under the bonnet on the top of the near side chassis leg which is now very rarely seen.
The history file contains the original 1957 buff log book, a 1996 old style V5 and the current V5 which between them show the total low ownership.
The file also contains numerous old MOT certificates dating back to the 1970s which show the low annual increase in mileage. The current mileage is now only 44932.
The current MOT runs until December 2019 although it is MOT exempt. The car will be licensed for twelve months from the date of sale for the new owner at no cost as the car qualifies for the Historic Taxation class.
In the history file is also a hand written letter from the third owner detailing the life of the car from new until he sold it in 2006 along with some certificates confirming prizes that the car has won over the years. It also contains the original 1957 Owners Handbook and some invoices for service work over the years.
A set of new quality Bridgestone tyres have been fitted recently.
This is an original unrestored classic car that is a true piece of British history and worthy of a place in any motor museum.
