1976 Triumph Spitfire Mk4 project.
84,778 miles on the clock.
In 2001/2 the car was stripped, rebuilt and 30 miles later, after being moted the clutch slave cylinder started leaking, so was parked up with the intention of replacing it, but never did. A couple of weeks ago the covers were removed, a good battery fitted, a test tank connected and the engine started up within a couple of turns. The car was jacked up and inspected underneath, all the underseal is flaking off so looks horrible but is a lot better than I thought it would be, with some corrosion to one outrigger and some rot right at the front below where the bonnet bolts on. The paintwork has suffered badly and will need a full respray.
With a clutch slave cylinder and a few hours work the car could be used as is, mot exempt and free road tax. The interior is tidy, the floors are good, the underside of the body is like new and the tyres are still like new.
Comes with both hard and soft tops.
The car is in Kilmarnock just south of Glasgow and will need trailered away.
