1935 MG PA in Oxford & Cambridge Blue - 8k since 90's rebuild For Sale
From a 1960's Green continuation ‘buff' logbook we know the MG spent the late 1960's and 1970's in the North East. In 1969 it changed hands moving from Lemington on the edge of Newcastle City centre to Whitley Bay and by 1974 the MG PA was in Gateshead. The car changed hands again later in the 1970's, staying local in Wallsend, Tyne and Wear. By 1988 the MG was MOT tested in the suburbs of Glasgow and we believe the car was subject of an early 1990's restoration with the speedo being put back to zero in 1993.
Since 1993 the MG has covered 8, 000 miles, 7, 500 covered in Scotland where it has been for almost 30 years. JK 4823 was collected by us in Scotland and has been subject of some light re-commissioning work totalling around £3, 000. The carburettors have been rebuilt, the suspension has been treated to new king pins, track rod ends and drag links, brakes shoes have been re-lined, five brand new tyres have been fitted, fluids have been replaced, spark plugs changed and a new battery fitted. The MG is running and driving superbly, the engine is super fit and strong, the gear changes delightful and handling is first class and brilliant fun.
JK 4823 has a very nicely aged finish with stunning deep paintwork, lovely chrome and the upholstery is stunning with an original look and feel to it. Due to our MG PA being a very well cared for older restoration that has now settled down perfectly, it has that honest and original feel that is so hard to replicate. It's a fabulous driver, its ideal for fair weather regular use and touring and it has full weather equipment just in case it gets caught in a down pour on a long-distance tour! JK 4823 is a stunning pre-war MG that is ready to use, ready to enjoy and requires no major expenditure.
