1933 Alvis Speed 20 SA Cross and Ellis Tourer For Sale

Cross and Ellis Bodied open 4 door 4 seater short wing tourer.
Finished in a lovely shade of green with green and black leather interior trim.

This is an original Cross and Ellis tourer as confirmed by the accompanying copy of the Alvis factory build sheet. We also have a copy of the 1932 ‘Autocar’ road test of this model. We have the sales receipt when the Alvis was purchased by the current registered owner in 1998, having been owned by the previous owner since 1978.

It was purchased in 1998 as a rolling chassis, the then current owner commissioned a complete restoration. The chassis was restored, a new ash frame built and covered in an aluminium body to replicate the original. The engine rebuilt with a new Phoenix crankshaft and modified camshaft still yet to be fully ‘run in’.

A lovely looking Alvis restored by a respected Alvis specialist over a fifteen year period which is ready to be enjoyed by a new owner, only for sale due to the lack of time to use and enjoy it by the present owner.

The V5C quotes two registered owners since 1978 .

Advertised on behalf of the current owner.
