This Lotus Elan is build for historic racing to full 26R specification.It has the full lightweight body with extended wheel arches and lightweight windscreen.
The chassis is reinforced according to FIA Appendix K specifications and there is a full FIA rollcage. The original engine block with forged steel crank and conrods, comes with a cylinder head modified by Racing Fabrications UK, and produces approx. 170 bhp. The gearbox and the diff. has an aluminium bell housing, and the clutch is competition spec. Brake calipers are with s/s pistons and racing pads.
The steering rack is modified for optimal geometry.
Suspension and setup make from Tommy Brosson.
Of course, the fuel tank is an aluminium foam filled one, and the fuel pump is from Facet. Total weight of this Elan is only 585 kg dry, which is a guarantee for impressive performance !
Last year we has invested a total amount of over 7.000 EUR to overhaul the complete car (engine, suspension, brakes), and it comes with a brand new tillet seat and heated windscreen.
The car has a Swedish registration, so can be entered for road events like Tour Auto.
