Here we have a Vintage 1971 Austin BMC Ambulance. A real head turner wherever she goes!
The vehicle is mechanically sound and has been maintained regularly.
With under 40,000 miles on the clock there’s a lot of life in her yet.
Most recently used as a mobile cocktail bar by the previous and current owner.
This could easily be converted in to a food van or has potential for a great camper van project.
It has electricity throughout with several sockets in the main body of the van. Lots of storage space and work surface area. There are two serving hatches to the nearside and one at the rear.
The front seats and dash have been refurbished in black leather and are in great condition.
Selling reluctantly due to other commitments.
There are a few snags as you’d expect from a vehicle of this age and are listed as follows:-
The Ambulance has a fibreglass body which could do with some TLC.. There are some cracks and scratches of note on the rear wheel arches.
The back window has a crack but is watertight and doesn’t effect use.
The petrol gage is slightly out.
The oil gage doesn’t work.
It needs a new locking system.. at present the passenger door can be locked from the inside and the driver door is locked with an external padlock. The rear doors are secured internally via a chain and a padlock.
The nearside wing mirror is cracked and it needs new windscreen wipers.
