1960 Lancia Appia S3 Berlina, LHD, UK Reg, Serviced, V original For Sale
RetroMarques Ltd is pleased to offer for sale on behalf of the owner: 1960 Lancia Appia S3 Berlina ‘841 XVA’
A nice original Italian LHD Appia Serie 3 Berlina (Saloon). Striking in light blue metallic and matching light grey upholstery and – as we believe – on an incredibly low mileage. She is UK registered and has had service work carried out on her so as to ensure a nice drive. This is not a show car but rather a ‘classic Italian Berlina’ to enjoy driving and - given the rarity - a car which will draw much attention wherever she goes, not least with the ‘clap hands’ doors!

Imported into the UK, and still carrying its Italian ACI stickers, this Appia remains a very original Italian LHD Series 3 Saloon/Berlina.
The light blue metallic blue paint is striking and certainly suits the car, but on close inspection is not to a high standard. Do note though that the car does appear corrosion-free. The interior remains nicely original with a nice degree of patina and other than perhaps some detailing needs nothing, indeed it would be a shame to lose the originality and ‘age’ present.
Helpfully, there is a factory workshop manual, a lovely period Lancia London Appia brochure and other documents. The owner also has an extensive spares package which would usefully accompany the car and is available by separate negotiation.
In summary, a practical, 4-door saloon which is stylish yet affordable with scope for further improvement. The Appia features the ‘clap-hands’ pillarless door design and is surprisingly roomy inside. The column shift is easy to use and she drives nicely, rather more briskly than one might think for the 1090cc engine, and pulls up well. Frankly ‘chalk and cheese’ when compared to a British classic saloon of the same era!

Targhe nere e documenti di prima immatricolazione. Conservata in ogni dettaglio è stata negli anni sempre ben mantenuta.
Purtroppo radiata d'ufficio ma di facile re immissione.....
This splendid car designed by Vignale diversify itself from the previous two series due to more powerful engine of 54 hp and two rear seats added.
Produced from 1959 to 1963.
