Here for sale is our lovely 1960 Series 2 Land Rover.
We've recently imported it across from Australia and as it sits, we currently have the registration in process which should be here in the next 14 days and a current 12 months of MOT. Although not needed for a car of this age we make sure all our vehicles are supplied with this to make sure they comply with current UK road regulations.
This car has been very well cared for during her life, the condition of the chassis and bulkhead (all original) is excellent and has a period correct 2.25L petrol engine. Due to a lack of salt on the roads in Australia and dry storage the bare bones of this vehicle are in fantastic condition, the engine has had a full service and comes with a new carb fitted. It runs very quietly for a series 2 and has been very well looked after. It has new brakes all round with new cylinders and had a very good overhaul of the braking system. It also sits on new leaf springs at the rear and a new exhaust system and has free-wheeling hubs fitted
The soft top is brand new and in fantastic condition (has a very high quality canvas and new frame). It has new tyres all round with fresh painted limestone rims. The seating configuration is currently 3 + 2 with two "Dicky" seats in the rear (These could easily be changed for bench seats). There are a couple of minor tears to the front seats but overall they are in good condition. We also have a heritage certificate from Land Rover for the vehicle.
The paint inside is original and has a fantastic Patina relevant to it's age. Outside the paint is good but could do with a refresh to make the car look immaculate.
We are currently offering the car for sale in it's existing configuration but are happy to talk if you would like the car repainted with a sympathetic restoration to a full nut and bolt restoration.
This car is a fantastic basis to put your own mark on a fast appreciating classic, it's been on a great journey why not complete the rest of it in your care.

The Series IIA was in production from 1961 to 1971, and is considered by many to be the most rugged of all the classic Land Rovers. The Series II became the IIA when the diesel engine was bored out to match that of the petrol version at 2 ¼ litres.
