This is my 2009 Renault Trafic that has been converted into a 2 berth camperan. The conversion has been done this year and has not been used. It has a 1.8 metre long rock and roll bed with comfortable 3 inch foam cushion/mattress. Underneath the bed is a large fresh water tank and water pump and gas bottle box along with some additional storage. There is a full length kitchen/cupboard unit with plenty of storage space, built into this is a Smev 2 burner hob and sink and also a Waeco 12 volt compressor fridge. There is a leisure battery mounted in the rear of the cupboard unit that powers the 6 internal LED lights, water pump, fridge, 12 volt sockets and USB points. The leisure battery is charged whilst the engine is running or from an external 230v supply via the Sargent power supply unit. The control panel for the Sargent unit also controls the battery selection, awning light and water pump isolation. There are 3 x 230 volt sockets fitted. Mounted under the bed is also a 2kw electric heater. Insulation has been installed between the walls and the roof and also between the floor. There are grey curtains fitted to all the windows and also a dividing curtain between the cab and living area. Above the cab is a good size carpeted storage area.
The vehicle has had it's V5C amended to say that it is now a motor caravan rather than a panel van. It has electric windows, electric mirrors, remote central locking, cd player, rear parking sensors and a towbar. It was serviced and had 2 new rear tyres fitted last week. Along with passing it's MOT. This campervan has the 2.5 dci engine so it has plenty of power on the motorways and going up long hills, unlike the smaller engines available in the Renault Trafic.
