MGB GT Chrome Bumper Conversion Restored 1976 For Sale
My MGB GT. I have worked on this on and off for 2 years now, and is finally ready to be sold.
I bought this car back in 2017 and have had it in a de-humidified workshop while I have been restoring it.
I have a huge list of parts that have been replaced but here are a quick list off the top of my head.
New oil cooler and hoses
New Rocker Cover/Seal
New Rocker Cover Cap (chrome)
New Water Pump
New Hoses for the cooling system
New Expansion Tank Cap
New SU Carb K&N Filters with Chrome caps.
I have hand polished as many of the individual parts as possible and spent countless hours cleaning all the dirt from over the years inside the engine bay.
New Exhaust Manifold/Studs/Sealing Rings/Gasket
New Spark Plugs/Leads
New Front Calipers
New Front brake Flex Hoses
New Discs/Brake Pads
New Rear Drums
New Rear Brake Shoes
New Bearings for front and rear hubs
New Brake and clutch Rubbers
All brake fluid has been cleaned through and fresh fluid bled through.
New 72 Spoke Chrome Wheels with spinners (these were a heavy investment but really bring the car to life in my opinion.)
Had a proffesional re-spray of Gloss Black, and has been buffed only 4 days ago to keep the paint in good condition and bring out the shine. The black and the chrome are a great match.
New seals on all doors/Tailgate/Windscreeen
New Front Grill
New Front/Rear Bumpers
New Chrome trim around almost all of the car (some parts are not available) The old Chrome was in awful condition.
New Chrome Heater Air Intake Grill
New Washer Fluid Motor
New Hose for the Washer Fluid.
New Washer fluid bag
New Chrome trim for the gear stick
New Carpets for the whole car, front and rear
New Tailgate Closers (chrome)
Its had a great Wood/Aluminium steering wheel fitted. (I believe by the previous owner)
New Tailgate MGB GT Badge
New Number Plate Lights/Housing (chrome)
This is all I can think of now, however I have receipts for all the parts I have bought that I can show when viewing.
The MG will be kept in the de-humidified workshop until sale.
