Truly everything has been restored with great attention to detail, the revised '' parallel twin '' engine runs great and is equipped with new pistons, honed cylinders, valves, clutch, ignition and alternator.
The second owner of this café racer bought the engine in 1968, a few years later he converted it to circuit racer and actually competed with it!
Around 1980 the AJS was disassembled and stored to rebuild in the future, the driver had even collected new parts! Until construction it never came, in 2015 the old owner went to a nursing home and the motor was sold in boxes to the new owner in the Netherlands. He rebuilt the AJS and renewed almost everything. The frame is powder coated, stainless steel spokes mounted, front fork overhauled, beautiful spray work etc. etc.
In short, this Caféracer is in perfect condition and is ready to enjoy many kilometers!
