1932 ROLLS ROYCE 20/25 COACHWORK BY VINCENTS OF READING For Sale
We are a small family business who have been trading locally for nearly 50 years, we predominantly sell modern cars but vintage and classics are our real passion.
We have also been a member of the RREC for 40 years and are quite well known within the Rolls Royce and Bentley circle.
This particular car had spent many years in Canada and was repatriated with the UK in 1995. Its Last keeper has owned it since then and appears to have maintained it mechanically very well indeed.
It is currently registered on a sorn and has done very little mileage over the last 24 years or so.
Having cleaned plugs, points and put some fresh petrol in, it appears to be very good mechanically and although we have not taken the car on the road it moves around out premises without fault having excellent oil pressure, holds water well, has a lovely clutch and excellent brakes. It has an invoice for a carburetor rebuild form 2010 to the tune of £1774 and looks like it has a fairly new exhaust system fitted. The tyres also look very good.
The body is all aluminium so are the wings. It is quite presentable and one would not be ashamed to use it as it stands in its present condition however the paint finish is by no means perfect and ideally would benefit from a good quality repaint.
The interior is predominantly original and again very usable. It has its original headlining, rear seat together with all the panels. The occasional seats along with the front seat have been re trimmed at some stage unfortunately in imitation leather, having said that it all looks quite presentable. There is no front carpet. It is fitted with a centre division with sliding glass windows, one of these has a crack in it but it looks like it is just plain flat glass.
This example is complete with its flying lady mascot, full set of wheel covers, luggage rack together with a trunk and wheel removal tools.
We have various paperwork including an up to date V5, its chassis build records from Rolls Royce, some old mots and original paperwork from when it resided in Canada.
Overall a very sound and mainly original old girl which could quite easily be used as is, or would benefit from some cosmetic work.
Outstanding value for money which will surely only go up in value and at todays current interest rates must make this a great investment opportunity.
