This car is a rare creature, made in tiny numbers over a 14yr build history. This is a much more sought after Series 1 car, with the more delicate features of the original design that were somewhat lost on the later versions. This is a 1972 car, it has always been an Italian car and retains its original Italian registration paperwork and is enrolled with ASi. It was first registered in Udine and then in 1976 the car went to Milan. The car has had 3 previous owners. The current owner bought it in 2014. At this point the car had not been used and laid-up for some 25yrs and required a degree of restoration and mechanical overhaul.
The car retains its original running gear and is a matching numbers car. The car is used on a weekly basis and benefits from this regular use.
Mechanicals - The Ford Cleveland 5800cc V8 engine was rebuilt, transmission refurbished as required, new carburettor, cooling system renewed, new fuel pumps, electrical systems overhauled, and brakes refurbed and rebuilt. Plus much more of course. (The engine is the same unit as used in the DeTomaso Pantera.)
Interior - The interior is largely original apart from new carpets and is in beautiful order, it does show a little wear to the seams on the front seats and the rear window is lexan/polycarbonate as an an original could not been sourced.
Body - There is no rust or issues with inner panels or chassis and the car has been repainted in its original factory burgundy finish.
