The Visa 1000 Pistes represents Citroen's attempts to enter in rally racing in the early 1980s and this version is introduced at the time when the Group B was born. The 1.4 litre 122 hp engine remains towards the front but the car has an integral transmission as well as modified suspensions, in order to make it sharper and more vibrant. It would be produced at 200 units for the purpose of homologation, to which will be added another 20 "Evolution" versions.
The incredible condition of this car we are offering is not surprising, considering that it has only 25,000 km on the clock from new. It is obviously originated from one of the most important Citroen special cars in France. Its owner could not resist and bought this specific example to add to its impressive collection. Having rigorously been maintained, this car is in its strictly original configuration and includes in particular all its stickers and specific equipment, which is what makes this machine such a special version. The external paint is flawless, the black fabric with and red piping interior is in good condition. It is quite common for these Visa 1000 Pistes to have suffered from the use in rally competitions but it is not the case with this particular car. Therefore, it is undoubtedly known as a collector.
Auction estimate: €20 000 / 30 000 - No reserve
