Here is my 1963 Chrysler Imperial Crown with 413 (6.8 litre) V8. Push-button automatic box with limited slip diff.
The car starts, drives, stops and steers as it should. The push button auto shifts smoothly.
The car is huge and makes a real impact on the road. Other cars leap out of the way!
There is a good amount of original period documentation with the car from 1963 to 1987. The original factory spec / price label ($6487 inc extras) and original service book with correct VIN are present. This shows the car registered new to Mr C G Emery of Willow City, North Dakota on 26 Sept 1962. The original showroom warranty slip and the push button auto instruction card are present. Subsequent. There are automobile registration tickets in Mr Emery's name at an address in Redondo Beach California from 1964 to 1980. After that there are two more in the name of Mr Danial Dissette of Redondo beach for 84 and 87. It seems the cart spent most of its life in California which would explain the sunburn on the top of the rear seat.
The engine bay has been rewired since the rats-nest that the last owner had left was dangerous. This was done professionally at a cost of nearly £1000. At the same time the alternator, voltage control unit, distributor, points, condenser, coil all of which were in a poor state - more £££££s. A new Edelbrock 600cfm carb and filter has also been fitted and set up professionally - lots more ££££s. New alloy radiator - £££££s
I fitted a new set of white wall tyres The car doesn't require an MOT.
In a recent drive down to Exeter on the M5 we were cruising at a genuine 70mph on the Sat nav and the care was very happy and stable. The speedo works as well.
I have detailed the good and not-so-good bits below. before the improvements) to get the Chrysler away to a new home.
Strong engine - starts easily - good oil pressure. Ticks over nicely.
Auto box via push-buttons working well, shifts up and down smoothly.
Brilliant chassis - very strong.
Floors and boot floor all good.
New Edelbrock carb - set up by an expert and runs sweet. New Edelbrock air cleaner.
All chrome in place and good.
All exterior and interior trim and badges present.
Power steering is good.
New alternator, voltage control unit, distributor, points, condenser, coil.
All new wiring in the engine bay by professional - £1000
New alloy radiator (includes trans cooler) and hoses. Original factory rad is present and goes with the car.
New whitewall tyres. Good spare.
Wipers, oil pressure gauge, lights, indicators, ammeter, speedo and front elec windows all work.
Door shuts and other panel fits all good and seem original.
Locks and keys all good.
All electric windows work
Interior is original but worn with some stitching splits. I use Mexican blankets which look pretty cool.
Original carpets are present but in poor shape.
front elec bench seat, temp gauge, fuel gauge, interior light and instrument back-light don't work.
Some bubbling at the bottom of the rear wings.
Some bubbling on outer sills - couple of small holes. Easy fix and have paint code.
The interior trims are all present but some are loose.
A/C system present but not working.

Tis with a heavy heart I am putting this up for sale as to get another 2 door coupe in this condition would be hard to find. We have used it a fair bit this summer including a 600 mile round trip to Goodwood revival with no problems other than a leaky rocker gasket (ordered and will be done).
