1962 JAGUAR MK II 3.8 Chassis fitted with a tuned 4.2 This 1962 Jaguar has spent all its life in South Africa ( duties paid ) and of course Right Hand Drive, It has a substantial race pedigree, I am currently in the process of making her road legal, electrics done, glass fitted and so on, but have stalled due to other comitments, a lovely car, no rust and in great Condition as you would expect on a car from SA, Chassis Number is correct for a 1962 3.8 and comes complete with the following modifications: ENGINE: Capacity – 4.2 Litres Bored – 30 thou Fluid Damper 12.1 Compression forged Pistons, Conrods nitrated, Rob Beere re-ground Camshafts. RB6/8 Ported and Flowed Cylinder head with Larger 1 7/8 Inlet Valves, Oil Cooler, 3 x 2 inch HD8 SU Carburetors with RAM Tubes, racing Exhaust Manifold, Aluminium Radiator, CLUTCH/FLYWHEEL Racing Aluminium Flywheel with Twin Plate Racing Clutch. GEAR BOX BMW Getrag 5 Speed Overdrive Box – mounted on original Jag Bell-housing. SUSPENSION – FRONT Modified by Owen Ashely of Toyota Rally fame to take adjustable Coil over Shocks with heavier anti Roll-bar. SUSPENSION – REAR Designed and modified by Owen Ashle to Coil overs with anti-tramp Rods. DIFF 3.54 Ratio L.S. Jag Diff. BRAKES Front: 4 Pot Jag with Ferrodo Racing.

This Mk2 was manufactured in 1963 in the most commendable dark blue with cream leather interior. In 1977 it was imported and registered in Greece. The car is finished in excellent dark blue paintwork
with unmarked dark blue trim.
The woodwork and the headlining is also extremely good.
It has new blue carpets.
There is no rust or rot anywhere on the car and the chrome including the window frames are as good as brand new with no pitting at all. .....
This historic icon of a vehicle was totally rebuilt to a high specification by Vicarage Ltd of Wolverhampton for the current owner completed in 2002.

Jaguar Mark 2 body shell that has been glass bead blasted back to bare metal, then acid dipped to remove all impurities. All rusted metalwork cut out and new metal fabricated and welded in place. All Mark 2 Jaguars have rusty sections, they are 45/50 year old cars that never had any rust prevention .....
