A beautifull MGB GT which was painstakingly and loving restored over a 10 year period, by the previous owner.
It has covered 105,000 miles and the last owner's restoration did not touch the engine as it was so sound. It is not converted to unleaded, but on the basis that it will likely not be a daily drive,I am advised the conversion is not necessary. Indeed many say that there is not even the need to add a lead additive.
It is Blaze orange, the body work and interior are in outstanding condition. The previous owner stripped the car bare and rebult it. It is heavily wax oiled underneath.
It has overdrive on 3rd and 4th gears. It is a tad lazy and thinks about it before engaging initially. But it always does.
The 2 x 6v batteries were replaced with a single 12v.
The chrome work is immaculate.
The door sills have chromed MG logo runners.
The wheels have chrome inserts
The interior with its wooden dash and steering wheel, lovely seats and carpets, is just a delight.
It's tax and MOT exempt so cheap as chips to run.
It drives beautifully and I reckon has all the power it originally had. It has a gorgeous stainless steel exhaust with a lovely sound.
It has 4 excellent tyres.
IT'S 47 YEARS OLD SO WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT?
VERY LITTLE INDEED
There is an alarmed central locking system (Piranha) which is not operating correctly. And that is all as far as I am aware.
WHY AM I SELLING IT?
I have only owned the car for a short while. It was a nostalgic buy having had several of them in my youth. However I have limited garage space and I have stumbled on something else that I have to have and so need to free up some garage space. If I had the space, I would not be selling it
If you are looking for a really smart, solid and great condition MGB GT that needs nothing doing but driving,I doubt there are many as good as this in the price range.
Buyers welcome to put it to any test
