1938 MG TA. One owner for over 50 years. Very correct and original car. Never fully restored and much as it left Abingdon in 1938.
It was fettled and used during the 1950's and early 1960's, then stored for many years.
Much history, correct and original Kent registration number supported by old buff coloured log book.
Correct MPJG MG crested engine and bronze bodied SU carburettors. Original grouped chassis lubrication system (fully working) and genuine pre-war MG/Lodge spare sparking plug holder under the bonnet.
Battery master switch fitted for safety.
New clutch, full tonneau cover,recent mohair hood, instruments all working as they should, including the clock and now rare and correct Lucas "low/high/side/head engraved ignition switch.
Excellent door fit and body structure, 1950's shock absorber conversion and period eagle radiator mascot included.
As you would expect, a large history and information box file comes with the car.
A complete and now extremely rare 1950's time warp.
Concours merchants need not apply. This is a car which has been loved and cared for all of its life but also has the marks and bruises that 81 years of age brings !
Gorgeous car that was restored some years by a specialist at great expense.
Was sold new in Australia in 1938, had a TC motor and gearbox fitted while there, came to NZ in the late 1950's.
Has TC wheels, the five 19 inch original TA wheels are in good condition and are with the car.
