A class at its own, simply superb and pristine . More often you see a classic car described in superlatives, but rarely do they apply. The exception is this Alfa Romeo 1300 TI from 1968.
This Alfa, which we proudly present is in an exceptional condition, both cosmetically and in terms of technics and next to that, original in every way.
Very rarely does an appraiser come to the final conclusion that a restored car can be qualified as condition # 1. Never the less, this Alfa Romeo 1300 TI is appreciated at that level. Really nothing is worth to be criticized on this car. It is a matter of loving, driving and enjoying, that’s all.
The best way to rate the car on its value of course is a visit to our showroom, but to give you a brief idea, below a small number of details and facts.
Date of first registration, 22 March 1968. This Alfa still has the standing pedals.
Chassis number AR 1003732.
The mileage is 75.600 KM and to our firm conviction correct.
The Alfa was purchased in 2006 from the original owner in Sicily and imported to Germany. The previous owner bought the car from the first German owner in 2016. The Alfa was restored between 2006 and 2013, mainly in the optical sense.
In 2017/2018 the previous owner instructed a well-known Dusseldorf based Alfa Romeo workshop for a complete technical restoration.
Since then, the car drove just a few kilometres and only in good weather conditions.
What makes this car so special?
The body of the Alfa was perfect to start with. During restoration no welding at all was done, nowhere.
The upholstery looks like new but is completely original and not replaced. This is one of the reasons to assume that the mileage is original.
To ensure originality no concessions have been made. For example, the previous owner searched and found original new shock absorbers when replacing the shock absorbers. The same applies to the straps of the rear axle. No reproduction, but NOS parts. In this way technically everything was done to the smallest detail in 2017. Engine overhaul, gearbox overhaul, powertrain, you name it, it has been done at a total cost of more than € 13,000.-. In January 2019, the rims were provided with a new powder coating and new Vredestein Classic tires were fitted.
The dashboard is decorated with an original, as new and period correct Becker Europa Stereo radio combined with a beautiful set of speakers, also period correct.
Technically, only two concessions have been made to ensure operational reliability. A Sachs clutch plate has been fitted as well an extra petrol pump to make the cold start go smoothly.
There are of course many more details worth mentioning and we of course are available for further explanation.
In short, a perfect and unique alfa Romeo ready to enjoy not needing anything at all. Not cheap, but impossible to restore at this level for this price.
On request a lot of pictures, documents and invoices are available.
