The BMW 507, designed by Graf Goertz as an alternative to the Mercedes 300 SL of the BMW competitor from Stuttgart, is considered the icon of automotive design par excellence. At production times, only 252 units were built, far less than the competition from Mercedes. Today, the vehicles are even more popular. To own one means to ascend the Olympus of classic collectors.
This 507 was ordered in Duisburg and admitted a little later in Switzerland. In the mid-80s he came back to Germany, where he was restored in the costliest. Even today, the painting of that time captivates with its quality. Since the 80s, the BMW is again allowed in Germany and was until recently in German collector's hand.
