1995 Harley Davidson FLH Electra Glide 1340 Mot, serviced, ready For Sale
Harley Davidson Electra Glide Classic FLHTC
1995 so one of the last of the Evolution 1340 Harleys to be fitted as standard with a carburettor, only a year after this was built Harley offered EFI as an option and then slowly phased it in across all models. A few years later the mighty and reliable “Evolution” motor was replaced by the twin cam 88. To some people, including me, a good condition Evo 1340s is the Harley to have combining a ton of character with a long life and ease of servicing.
So to the bike, it's clean, tidy and reliable, but remember it's also well over 20 years old and has completed some fantastic long distance tours, so don't expect it to look like it has just rolled out of a showroom in 1995. These bike should be ridden not hidden.
Mileage is currently 49000 miles and it's just been serviced with fully synthetic oils and a genuine Harley filter.
It starts on the button and after a minute on choke sits there ticking over quietly and evenly. No strange noises, just as it should be. Pulls well in all gears, no flat spots, no hesitation, just gets on and goes.
I have a big file of history from previous owners and it's clear that it has never wanted for anything, braided steel brake hoses, stainless exhaust, carb rejet, all the stuff any long term owner would do.
You can see in the pictures it can be configured in a few different ways, with or without the massive top box and with or with out the little back rest. At the moment it has no top box and no back rest but with the panniers fitted because that's how I like it. The rest of the parts come with it and it's easy enough to change things around to suit your needs.
The original radio is still fitted but has no radio reception, just hisses, I believe a better aerial can be fitted in the fairing, but I have never bothered.
It picked up an advisory at the MOT for slight fluctuation in the front brake disc. I have now fitted two brand new discs and took the opportunity to upgrade from solid to drilled discs which are considered better in the rain. Certainly feels silky smooth when braking now. The discs shown in the pictures are the solid discs as I took the pictures the day before the MOT.
MOT expires 17/02/2020
Yes I am a bike dealer, specialising in Urals, Jawas and sidecars, but this was bought by me for my use, as an indulgence. I have really enjoyed owning it, but never seem to get the time to ride it as much as I would like, so it's time to let it go to a new home. It will be missed.
