1965 ex german fire truck from the small town of Tries-Karden. Decommissioned quite some years ago having lead, quite possibly, a gentle life though the van does show some signs of wear and tear by way of bumps and scrapes. As far as I am aware the van has its original paint plus original fire service sign writing on the driver/passenger doors.
Currently running a straight axle conversion with drum brakes all round. The brakes are supported by a servo and runs a dual circuit so stops really well.
It powers along with a lovely running 1500 sp engine.
Inside we have a rusty lee full width rock and roll bed covered by Bromsgrove autotrimmers. They also covered the front seats and rear single buddy seat. A new headliner was also fitted.
The van also benefits from a creative steering rack fitted by Johnson Autoworks. Recent services by Fellows Speed shop.
