1996 JAGUAR XJ12 6.0 V12 - 94.221 Miles - Steel Grey For Sale

There he stood; a special XJ, you can see that immediately. A little lower, a bit wider rims and tires. That color then, Steel Grey, you don't see that very often. The two slightly more visible exhaust pipes betrayed it; it is a Jaguar V12! And how special. From the second owner, delivered by Henleys Jaguar, London. A perfectly balanced history of only 94,000 miles. The car company had exchanged the V12 for a later model. The second owner lived in Luxembourg and drove the V12 to the Netherlands. There the deal was settled immediately and the gentleman left with his new acquisition to Luxembourg, leaving the V12 behind. The interior is finished in Nimbus grey leather, still in mint condition. The headlining has been tackled by us and therefore again in top condition, of course in the original color. The panels of the electric sliding roof have also been refurbished and can therefore withstand many years again. The 6.0 V12 in Short Wheel Base version is often the ultimate composition for enthusiasts! You rarely see them that way; no worn steering wheel or seat, a perfectly restored headlining and a particularly fresh interior. A well-preserved copy with only 2 owners in 22 years. For its time you will find a lot of luxury in the Jaguar. This is equipped with electrically operated seats with memory function for the driver, Climate Control, Radio with CD changer and cruise control. Less obvious are the electrically adjustable depth and height steering wheel, of course also with memory function. Even the headrests are electrically adjustable. Of course, mountains of work were done before the Jaguar met my requirements. For example, a restored clock has been mounted in the interior; these are always broken. The radio has been replaced by a perfectly working, original one. We also had a new, original air-conditioning radiator installed, a costly intervention, but in this case it was necessary. The rubber under the gearbox has also been replaced. As mentioned, this V12 comes from London and is therefore controlled by law. Believe me, this is no obstacle during daily use, I drive around with great pleasure. The first two owners of this special Jaguar were enthusiasts, you can see and notice it in everything. Even the typical round tax papers from the UK are still in the service folder, which is also very complete with all booklets, papers and stickers. Even the tool set under the hood is complete! Starting the V12 is wonderful; the heavy starter motor goes round, the crankshaft throws the 12 pistons in height and immediately the big engine runs. In this case the 6.0 V12 with injection. This engine variant is standard linked to the fine four-speed GM automatic transmission. Nice fact; of the X300 XJ a total of 92,000 units were produced. How many SWB V12 models do you wonder? In total only 673 pieces. That too makes this Jaguar a stable investment and a guaranteed classic. The condition of the Jaguar is generally very good. A small point of attention is the rear left wheel arch, it deserves some craftsmanship. Of course we can provide this through our partners, but I would like to show this kind of optical defects to potential buyers and then come to a suitable solution together, entirely according to the wishes of the customer. This keeps communication open and honest! Because I am rather happy with this V12, I have already restored a wooden handlebar and shift knob, perfectly in keeping with the Nimbus gray interior. Do you also like wood? Then simply take this over for a reasonable price. There is still much to say about this Jaguar, but of course you only get a good picture when you look at the car and drive.
