Reluctantly offered for sale is our rare 1987 MKIII Ford Granada 2.4i Ghia Automatic.
Supplied by New English Ford (Poole) in April 1987 to Mr Charles Nicoll at a total cost of £15,530. Purchased to replace his 1978 MKII Granada Ghia, this beautiful car remained in Mr Nicoll's ownership for an incredible 28 years until it finally passed to it's second and only other keeper in March 2015.
Mr Nicoll specified the following options:
Diamond White Paint
Astral Bluestone Interior Trim
4 Speed Automatic Transmission
Rapid De-Ice Heated Windscreen
Standard Ghia specification included:
Anti- Lock Braking System
Tilt & Slide Glass Sunroof
Stereo Radio/Cassette & Four Channel Power Amplifier
Tilt & Slide Steering Column
The car has an amazing history including all of the original vehicle order forms, part-exchange paperwork and purchase invoices, three fully stamped up service books and a quantity of additional maintenance invoices. Mr Nicoll also maintained a 'Motorist's Log Book' in which he kept a detailed account of every penny he spent on the car. This incredible record details every penny spent on fuel, maintenance and consumables during his entire 28 year ownership.
The car has covered a total of 89,812 miles, although it had a fully documented speedometer change at 38,000 miles so the odometer only shows 51,000 miles. It remains in 100% original specification and is in stunning condition throughout. The interior trim is just as it came from the factory and it has never been smoked in. It has current MOT (no advisories) until 17th August 2019 and due to lack of use has only covered 15 miles since the last MOT. A set of new tyres have also recently been fitted.
Much admired, I am confident that this must be one of the best surviving MKIII Granadas.
If you have any questions, require any additional pictures or would like to view the car, please contact me by email or telephone on the details below. We are located in Haworth, West Yorkshire approximately 20 minutes from the M62 or M65 motorway. I am open to sensible offers.
