Austin Mini (1971) 1310cc Engine (Mk3 S looks)
Welcome the sale of this perfect condition Mk3 Mini finished in its original colour British Racing Green & Old English White roof. This Mini won 1st place at Beaulieu Mini Cooper day 2017 which shows just how good this car is. Restored over the course of two years to an extremely high standard this car is the best Mk3 I've personally seen. The car was taken back to a bare shell and then acid dipped which showed minimal rust other than the doors and bonnet which have been replaced with new heritage panels. Most of the new parts used on the car are genuine old stock items and not cheap Chinese copy parts! Below is the spec on Mini which you will see is huge.
In 2018 the car had a twin tank fitted along with Mk3 S badges
Engine: 1275 Mini Cooper 11 stud head
Engine capacity (overbore sizes):1310cc
Type of pistons: Omega high compression pistons .040” oversize, Lightened & balanced con rods.
Big valve head with new valve guides and new hardened valve seats, Head skimmed machining by Saunders Engineering Cadnam, polished & ported. Doweled the inlet manifold to the head, the head is fitted with a turbo head gasket.
Kent cam 276 kit & Duplex Vernier pulley.
Mini spares 1.5 ratio roller rockers, Kent double helper springs, Mini sport valves machined the back of the valve for airflow.
Mini cooper crankshaft Saunders did the grinding, nitride, shot peen & balanced. Also fitted Mini sport crankshaft centre strap.
Inlet manifold twin SU.
Electronic ignition fitted.
Lucas gold sports coil.
Ngk plugs, Champion leads.
High output alternator.
Twin SU carburettors.
Mini sport High capacity no bypass tube water pump.
Air filter(s), ram pipes, filter housing: SU Trumpets.
Alloy Radiator.Facet electric red top pump fitted in the boot.
Cooling fan(s): Mechanical 12 blade fan & electric fan in wheel arch with digital thermostat.

Original front twin top bolt subframe & rear subframe both powder coated gloss black.
Dunlop cones with adjustable trumpet rods, Gaz adjustable shocks.
Mini spares Polyurethane bushes, adjustable tie rods, camber adjustable bottom arms. New standard steering rack & hubs.
Polyurethane subframe bushes, Mini spares camber/toe brackets, I fitted new radius arms bushes then powder coated gloss black.

Original seats front & rear I stripped repainted the frames & re-trimmed in new black vinyl to match the door cards.
