Purchased by me as a 1965 A65L Clubman in 2010, it had been in storage since the early 2000's by the previous owner. I have recommissioned the bike since purchase.
It has a current V5C in my name and a continuation green log book and some MOTs. The MOT's confirm that the bike has had little use since 1998.
Engine no A65DC.2859 (with bench test marker disc on inner timing cover as fitted to Clubmans) Frame No A50B.5514 Original matching engine and frame numbers. Correct top yolk, rear sprocket and centre stand as fitted to Clubmans and correct despatch colour for a clubman.
The bike is fitted with Tomasselli adjustable ace bars and clubman rearsets. I have parts to convert to A65 touring footrests if required. The engine has been rebuilt with standard 8.5:1 pistons to replace the higher compression pistons fitted as standard. It is fitted with concentric carbs but I have used Mono blocs in bits which I will include in the sale). The bike starts easily and runs well, but having sorted it I now find that I am getting too infirm to use it, lack of flexibility in old age means I choose my A65 in touring trim when riding.
I have tried to put the bike into good ridable condition. The rims are original but are showing signs of age. Running gear and brakes are good and the bike is in vry good overall lightly restored condition, its a bike to be used.
