This is a VERY rare car. An absolute gem of a find for sure.
A Low mileage 1.3 Marine Coupe with period mods and pretty much untouched by the modern world.
Has “those” very rare wheels and all the usual period engine and suspension mods (hence the lower stance). Its an absolute hoot to drive and handles too.
Only 44k miles!
Modern v5c in my name. Tax and MOT exempt but has a current MOT. Runs and drives, starts on the button, excellent driver. This is a drive-away car. I drive it most days when its not raining.
Everything is in amazingly good condition considering. The body has minimal rust, only a few little very minor scabs here and there, which for an unrestored Marina is absolutely amazing. You know how badly they rust. Underside looks clean and solid. Any half decent car enthusiast could have the body looking great but i left it exactly as found.
Interior is in good condition too.
The only modern things about it are various consumable parts and modern H4 headlights. Everything else is either original or period mods from back in the day.
Comes fully serviced and ready for the new owner.
This car is like THE find of the decade for me. Unfortunately i work with film gear and the boot is just a little too small to fit one of the cases that i need to carry around all the time, so i think it may be time to pass this gem onto someone else and look for a bigger saloon, hatch or estate. Obviously classic (70s or earlier). Please dont message me offering your 2005 subaru. Blegh. Not for me at all.
Some people are suited to selling cars. Unfortunately I am NOT one of those people. If you know what youre looking at you will no doubt know what this is right away. Im too lazy/busy to send take hundreds of photos and answer countless questions, besides this car is fairly self-explanatory AND youll never find another one like this. There are a few Marinas left but to find one like this is a feat that should not be under-estimated.
Unfortunately the price is the price. If you dont want to spend that money please
Look at other cars. There are a lot of cars for sale to suite any budget.
I can’t remember the last time I saw one of these!!
Super rare 1978 Morris Marina 1800 GT Coupe.
