1948 Jowett Bradford. Great patina, drives well For Sale
This superb 1948 Jowett Bradford goods van is powered by a twin cylinder 1000cc engine with a three-speed plus reverse gearbox. It starts first time and runs very nicely indeed for a 71 year old vehicle !
She’s no sports car but chugs along nicely and draws smiles from everyone who sees her.
This lovely item has been preserved rather than fully restored and is full of character with a lovely light patina. The wooden ash body framework has been replaced so it’s very solid under the skin.
We even have the original owners manual for this historic vehicle!
Nicely finished in green, it provides a blank canvas which could be sign-written with your business, club or personal name as an attention-grabbing publicity vehicle. Or it would be ideal for hiring out as a film and TV prop.
Whilst the engine runs perfectly, with no issues, the previous owner purchased a spare engine that could be renovated for future use if required or sold on. This is included in the sale price.
This wonderful Lady are very rare its build in 1926 as a HP8
in the end of the 30s comes a Talbot Engine inside,in the 40s
a Morris 8HP engine inside in this Time a Cochbuilder from Farnham modifided the Body to a spezial Roadster.

This beautiful looking dark blue Jowett Jupiter came out of the factory in 1953 and spent 4 years in Bermuda before coming back to the UK on the Queen Mary in 1957.
