This Absolutely remarkable Commer Q25 was first registered on 27th August 1946.
Obviously at that time new vehicle orders were controlled by the Government as the country recovered from the war There were only limited numbers produced. We have a copy of the ledger from the supplying Dealer which shows this vehicle was delivered to the Tymouth Laundry company when new.
I bought this vehicle after having a glass of wine, remarkbly it was just as fantastic when I went to collect it. The plan with this vehicle was always to restore it to be a promotional vehicle or used as a support vehicle at events like Goodwood revival etc. Alternatively As you will see from the pictures we have had a visualisation done to show the vehicle converted into a period catering vehicle.
Since collecting the vehicle we have got the 2.5 litre petrol engine fired up and it sounds absolutley brilliant, the Vehicle drives backwards and forwards so will be easily capable of restoration on its own drive train.
Rather than restore the vehicle and potentially limit out options or incur costs for making changes i thought we would advertise it with a view to preparing a price to restore and convert the vehicle to the customers specification and wishes. that way they join us on the journey and have as much fun as we will carrying out the work.
If you want it be a catering van or a period restoration please talk to us.
