With a heavy heart I am reluctantly listing my classic campervan, as unfortunately my circumstances have changed and I can no longer keep her. Betty is in fab condition as you can see from the photos. (more available upon request).
She has had over £8500 spent on her in September 2017 after she had an engine fire. This consisted of a refurbished 1641 engine block being fitted, the burnt out wiring loom replaced with new, Empi pancake filter, replica solex carb, fuel pump and hose, heater system hot air hose and heater cable assembly, alternator, clutch cable, split charge wiring and relay kit, throttle cable, fuel gauge unit in dashboard (which is still tempremental), engine bay powder coated, plus much, much more. She also has servo brakes.
A full width rock and roll bed has been recovered in a white leatherette along with the 2 front seats. She has the much sort after original kitchen units which are in excellent codition, along with the moveable table, double burner stove, a new gas safety locker has also been fitted recently. A 3 way fridge, sink unit with electric pumped tap, led interior lighting, brand new curtains and cushion covers, and the small double bed in the roof has been recovered earlier this year. There are 3 seatbelts in the rear (2 over the shoulder and 1 lap belt).
A fire extinguisher is fitted in the rear also a carbon monoxide alarm. The pop top canvas has no holes or tears. I also have a waterproof and breathable cover for protecting her whilst outside, but really she likes to be stored in a garage or similar! She can also come with all the equipment if required like plates, cutlery, glasses, etc
She sits at original height so has not been messed around with and lowered, a step has also been fitted.
The wheels and tyres are in very good condition. And she has a spare wheel cover (white) fitted on the spare on the front now.
I was going to replace the lower part of the sliding door as this is showing a little sign of rust bubbles now (I have both the inner and outer panel which will be included in the sale). This however does not need to be done straight away, it is not too bad , ive seen a lot worse. I have been quoted £500 to do this including respray of door. However I have just not had time to get this done yet, so have decided to sell her as she is at a reduced price. This when done will then increase her value, so a good investment vehicle.
Betty is in very good condition underneath and is not hiding any rust under belly pans like so many that are for sale.
Please come and have a look, you will not be dissapointed. She is currently sorned as she has been stored during the winter months.
