No expense was spared during the restoration, both inside and outside have been stripped and repainted in 2 pack. The underside of the van was media blasted to bare metal and por15d.
During the rebuild all mechanical parts were replaced or refurbished (discs, calipers, bearings, ball joints, steering arms etc)
Servo assisted brakes were fully renewed
The engine is a mildly tuned 1776, this was fully rebuilt and had all new ancillaries fitted( carbs, starter, alternator and clutch etc). Also fitted is an external oil filter and cooler(with fan) and a stainless steel 4 into 1 manifold and backbox
The engine bay has an aircooled works automatic fire suppression and fuel shut off system fitted
The interior is supplied by vanwurks and comprises full width rock n roll bed, 3 way fridge, 2 burner stove and sink. Also included is a 10.1 inch fold down tv/DVD player and a blaupunkt CD radio with 4 speakers. All upholstery was redone including the Porsche tombstone front seats.
There is a split charge system and leisure battery as well as a 240v mains hookup and leisure battery charger. Mains hook up supplies 4 13amp sockets, additionally there are 2 12v sockets and a USB socket by the sliding door
There is a rev counter fitted in the instrument pinnacle and an engine temperature gauge fitted to the dash.
Shifting is via a scat t handle shifter
During the restoration all new seals were fitted as well as a new canvas for the poptop
At present the van has a towbar fitted...this has only been used for a bike carrier and is easily removed if not wanted(only original VW mounting points were used)
The van will come with some spares
