It’s a very original example - it has the most amazing Patina and charms everyone wherever it goes. It’s got a canvas roof (original canvas with a well-executed patch over the top section) with all the original buckles and ropes.
It has a rebuilt period-correct 2.25 petrol engine which runs perfectly, and also comes with its original matching numbers engine (strapped in the back for shipping).
I believe it to have done 104,000 miles, but the clock stops at 99,999 so I can’t actually verify this, although the condition suggests it is accurate.
The chassis is original apart from the rear crossmember, which has been professionally replaced and repainted, and is in great condition - as you’d expect of an Australian car.
The previous (third) owner had the car a year and spent nearly $7,000 refreshing everything mechanical - refurbished wheels with new tyres, parabolic leaf springs, new shocks, new steering damper, and it drives as you’d expect it would after such an investment.
He kept the bodywork original and you can see from the pictures it’s evenly worn in the way that only steady use over a long period can do.
