2002 Ruby Red Suffolk Jaguar SS100 Recreation For Sale
2002 Suffolk SS100 Jaguar
This beautiful car is a re-creation of the famous pre-war SS100 sportscar built by William Lyon who later went on to found Jaguar Motors.
The car was completed and registered in May 2002, the first owner and builder being a Mr David Dyer of Gravesend. Ruby then had a further three keepers until purchased by the current owner in 2009.
The stunning colour scheme, which impresses everybody, is Jaguar Flamenco Red with Cream interior leather and Yellow Beige wheels.
The donor car was a Series 3 Jaguar Sovereign from 1985. The fuel injection system was replaced with two SU HD8 carburettors. The manual gearbox and overdrive unit were supplied by Broadstairs Parts.
The car has been kept in a heated garage during its lifetime and has covered a total of only 8750 miles, mostly on dry summer days. Full MOT and Service records are available.
The previous owner enjoyed the use of a motorhome and modified Ruby’s chassis and braking system to allow the car to be legally towed for use as a runabout once on location. The A frame, towing fitment and fittings are included in the sale as is the period registration number.
Ruby drives as good as she looks and at the time of sale will be shod with fresh Blockley tyres and will be supplied ready serviced with a new MOT.
