Jaguar 420G with Borg Warner automatic transmission, finished in Old English White with blue hide.
Originally supplied by Henlys of London to Wadham Stringers for a MR Warner of Hampshire on the 17th December 1969.
At this time the 420G was indeed Jaguars flagship model, and enjoyed status among the British Gentry.
It still has remarkable original hide and walnut veneers to dashboard, picnic tables and door cappings.
it was purchased by a good friend of mine in 2004, and he passed it to me in 2008, when I was 70 years old.
It runs beautifully, and is in really good shape, although not mint.
a great car to drive and be enjoyed, rather than a garage Queen or concourse cruiser.
It has still only travelled 80,000 miles from new, it has a Jaguar Heritage certificate, and still carries its original registration.
Overall, it is a great example to be enjoyed by the family this summer at those Goodwood picnics and racing events.
