I've owned this car for three years now, and it has been a pleasure, but lack of space means that I need to let it go to make way for a new project.
I am only the third owner of the car, with the first owner keeping it until 2013. He left it to the second owner in his will, and I bought it from him in 2016.
The car is really original, and whilst I have done quite a lot to the paintwork, I felt that a respray would not be appropriate as it might ruin the character of the car. Everything works, from the semaphore indicators to the Smith's heated rear window. The registration number is probably quite valuable, and will be a bonus if your name is John.
The interior is in good condition for its age, with only the driver's seat showing signs of wear. The headlining is original but still good.
The car drives extremely well, and the engine is in exceptional condition, with oil pressure at around 70 psi and minimal oil consumption. It has covered 82,500 miles, and appears to have been garaged for most of its life.
Whilst the car is not in pristine condition, it is a very attractive car which does not deceive.
It comes with a spare bonnet, boot lid and gearbox, although I doubt you will have any need for any of them.
