The UK classic car market seems to be obsessed with low mileage, one or two owner cars. The result is people buy cars as 'investments' and are afraid to use them. If that is you, then have a look at our other NSXs for sale - especially our other two 3.2 six-speed cars.
However, if you are looking for an NSX to use and enjoy, then this could be the perfect car. Or if you are from overseas and looking to buy a right hand drive NSX to ship home, then this is an unique opportunity.
Why is this car £20,000 less than the equivalent "collector's" NSX?
1. It's had seven owners: The first owner was Honda UK. So that doesn't count. We have known all the owners since 2003. So we can verify its provenance. The other thing about lots of owners is that it's often a good point. When a new owner acquires a car they love it a little bit more. And look after it a bit better. So many owners can be a good thing.
2. It's done 148,000 miles: Don't worry. It's a Honda. It’s remarkable how well an NSX copes with mileage. The 3.2 engine is perfect and the six-speed gearbox is super-smooth. This doesn’t happen by chance. Honda’s engineers built the cars to last and quality was paramount. We have given the car our 115-point NSX-specific check over and everything works as it should.
3. It's a Targa (all Midnight Purple NSXs were Targas): For some reason Targas are less sought after than Coupes. It's because some internet forum 'experts' (most of whom have never driven an NSX) base their opinion on the Ferrari GTS and Porsche Targa and claim an NSX-T is not as stiff as a Coupe. Not true. Roof on, or roof off, they are brilliant to drive and the removable roof panel, on a sunny day, is simply a bonus.
4. We repaired this car after a relatively minor accident in 2011. All new parts were used, and the result is indistinguishable from the car's pre-accident condition. We can warrant that the car has not suffered in any way from being repaired.
So, if you have read the above and, like me, are not discouraged, then this is the best value NSX on the market worldwide.
