I purchased B952 FDM in 2011. During my tenure it has had a cosseted excitance and subjected to many improvements. Both by myself and Nigel and the team at Queensbury Road Garage. I'll start there.
Engine removed. Bay and underside bonnet repainted. Engine dismantled. Subjected to regarus inspection a complete rebuild. Replacing all that need be. New uprated camshaft cam followers and timing gear . New shells, crank in good condition balanced along with connecting rods.Lead free cylinder heads. New Carburetor. Exhaust Gas flow improved. New single ports manifold fitted to stainless exhaust system. New larger radiator, electric fan. Independent operating switch. Larger heater metric. Reconditioned four Speed automatic gearbox (As Fitted to the Scorpio). Makes for better fuel consumption and leisurely drive. Nigel cleaned all electrical switches when fitting new C.D. Radio and speaker system. Photographic record. Bills by Q.R.G. at hand.
Will Sparrow front and rear bumpers. Fitted with Stainless Bolts. Reconditioned Wiper Motor. Front suspension renewed. Trunnions, Poly bushes adjustable shock absorbers, track rod ends. Uprated Alternator. Power steering now electrically operated reconditioned steering rack. Aluminum Radiator. New battery. New and over carpets. New front seat belts, rear Lights. Four new tyres. Wheels in good condition. Body work although not Concours very good. Interior Very Good. Pictorial history and bills at hand. The asking price is 7750 pounds.The Scimitar. One of only 120 left on the road this example has been carefully dry stored for many years but due to ill health this project was never finished. Complete and only needs putting back together, some engine work and a light recommision.
