One of the very best versions of the Countach, the later 5000QV with the Downdraught Weber carburettors, producing a nominal 455hp and powering the occupants to 60mph in less than 5 seconds and tracking on to about 185mph - depending on whether you have the rear wing or not (it was an option)
Our version is really the Holy Grail here - well it's either the original LP400 version or this version in the eyes of the serious collector
Very late Downdraught version, originally supplied new here in the UK in August 1987, she has only enjoyed 2 owners, has all books, papers service vouchers, work sheets and various MoT's too
The first owner kept her until 2015 after which she was recommissioned by Cheshire Classic Cars, who supplied her to next owner
Part of the sale agreement was to a complete sympathetic re-commissioning of the Countach
This included removing the engine, all ancillaries and refinishing the necessary components
While the engine was out a new clutch was fitted - the history folder has the worksheet summary
On 19th July 2017 the Countach was taken to Lamborghini Manchester for a service and a Vehicle Health Check Report
Any points that were raised were given the go ahead and completed whatever they came up with
This bill came to £10,647
She starts on the button, sounds amazing and would happily sit in any museum you may care to mention
All of the normal Countach areas of concern are not to be found in this immaculate example - exhaust tail pipes still with original stickers, no cracking on the air box housing, all black paintwork has not flaked or cracked, or even been repainted
Dash top is not shrunk, windscreen surround ditto
We could carry on waxing lyrically, so enthusiast are we about this time worp Lamborghini - to see, is to believe
