Dry stored since 1986. Recorded mileage is a shade over 83000 and this is believed to be correct. Very original and solid car. Only needs one small area welding, a jacking point if I remember correctly. Comes complete with two replacement front wings as originals have corroded around indictor/side light units. Dent in passenger door should push out and there are a few small areas of superficial corrosion.
Interior is in excellent condition and is, again all original. The seating material and vinyl has not faded and is completely intact, having no discernible damage. Roof lining and floor coverings are also clean and intact. The car has genuine Saab rubber mats however there is a small hole in the drivers side mat. All electrics work as they should, lights, indicators, heating etc. Comes with spare wheel and jack. Wheels are 4.5” in width and shod with relatively new Toyo, 155x15 tyres.
I have had the car running up to temperature without issue. Prior to starting the petrol tank was cleaned (thankfully it had been empty when stored); engine oil and filter changed and new spark plugs, air filter, electronic ignition kit and thermostat fitted. I have also replaced ignition leads with genuine Saab NOS. Fomoco carburettor with manual choke. The exhaust system is complete and in good condition and I have fitted a very good rear box. Clutch master, slave and brake master cylinders have been removed for reconditioning or replacement. Car comes with a few spares including seal kits for front calipers, cylinders and brake shoes for rear drums.
I have an American spec, round headlamp front panel with new chrome grills and a twin choke Weber carburettor with manifold that could be included by separate negotiation.
Car has the potential to be recommissioned relatively easily and to make a very original and rare Saab and will of course be MOT and tax exempt.
