For sale is a good condition BMW e21 first registered in 1983 and has done 106k miles. It has the 5 speed manual overdrive gearbox and is in Sapphire Blue. It has a factory fitted sunroof option and also an immobiliser fitted. It has alloy wheels and a full spare alloy wheel as well. It comes as near original as you're likely to find, it hasn't been aftermarket modified in any strange ways - this could easily be returned to show condition, or used a very useable everyday classic. It does have a modern CD/Bluetooth radio wired up in the glove box so you can play music, but the original radio is in place in the car still so everything looks original there as well. There's also no crack in the dash which is quite common in these cars.
It has service history going back to the original purchase documents and if I'm honest I have never sat down and gone through everything that was handed over to me. I know the previous owner had it reupholstered back in 06/07 I think it was, very close to the original. Since I've had it from 2014, I haven't done a huge amount of mileage. I had a new clutch and master cylinder fitted in 2014 and I had some rust sorted out on the passenger front side mounting jack point and treated with underbody spray in 2015. Other than that just general services and the usual consumables replaced - various filters, spark plugs etc. I've also just fitted a new battery. I also have a full car cover which I will include - I've never used it as it's been garaged whilst it's been with me but I'm happy to include it free of charge.
What work needs doing:
There's a small amount of rust on the front bumper by the wheel arches on both sides, the right hand side being a bit more than the left hand side. I can provide photos of this, a body shop should be able to sort it. It hasn't got any worse in the time I've owned it, so if kept indoors you can probably get around to sorting it at your own pace.
There's a few little things that also need doing. The foam under the bonnet is tearing but I have had a new custom cut piece of foam to fit - which of course you can have if you're buying the car. The alloys could do with refurbishing if you want to restore the car to show condition. The passenger side wing mirror needs the plastic rim glueing down as it came loose but I've only temporarily secured it with a piece of tape at the moment, but again that's an easy fix. The carpet under the drivers side would ideally need replacing as I believe the previous owner had a leak of clutch fluid from the master clutch cylinder there. It's just left the carpet a bit discoloured but I did have a new master clutch cylinder fitted so at least the cause was sorted. A little dent on the bonnet needs popping out by a body shop, again they should be able to do this relatively easy, or if you have the equipment at home I guess you could do it yourself. The only other thing is that the dashboard light bulbs have blown but I haven't got round to replacing them. They're just tiny standard bulbs, shouldn't cost much to replace at all.
That's about everything I can think of. Of course I'm happy to answer any questions. If I don't pick up, feel free to leave a message and I'll get back to you, or I'm happy to discuss things via email at first if that suits you better.
I'm happy to listen to any sensible offers but I have already had interest on this from elsewhere.
