1959 LHD MGA Roadster ex USA:
Pearl Grey with contrasting and unmarked red leather upholstery, and matching side curtain envelope - an elegant sixty year old classic car which attracts much attention with 60 spoke wire wheels. The doors close beautifully with excellent shut lines.
Fitted with an 1800cc 18G MGB engine with oil cooler it has good oil pressure and all the gauges operate properly. It has been converted to a single 12V battery. It starts first time and performs well through the gears, with clean synchromesh on 2nd, 3rd and 4th; first gear is non synchro. The mileage is 91,000.
In 2018 the car was fitted with chrome luggage rack, badge bar (badges not included), wing mirrors, new seat belts, new side screen perspex panels, new clutch/brake master cylinder, new radiator, thermostat, front shock absorber, stainless exhaust, battery isolating security switch, indicator switch. All ignition components were replaced, spark plugs, HT leads, coil, points, condenser, and rotor arm. An auxiliary panel with twin cigar and USB port is also fitted. A new water pump was fitted in 2017. Left hand headlight units also available. Wax-oyled in 2018; it is garaged and only used in dry weather.
I have invoices for interior works including a new hood from June 2015 for $1,125.86 and a new starter motor for $687.55. It comes with a British Motor Industry Heritage Certificate.
