Unfortunately due to worsening health issues i have to regrettably let my Wolseley go to another home.
Tax and mot exempt but taxed and mot'd till Aug 2019
I got the Wolseley in Dec 2016, it was last mot'd in 1985 when the mileage was 54029mls that mot expired in Jan 1986 so it had been in storage for 30 yrs! I have all the mot's from new and fully stamped Passport to Service book and owners handbook in the original Supercover Handbook Portfolio
The 1st owner was The Lord Bishop of Gloucester and had a chauffeur to drive him around. He sold the car in Nov 1979 to the 2nd keeper,I am the 3rd keeper
Since buying the car i have fitted new genuine front lower panel and done some minor repairs to the front wings and 2 doors, the body has been rubbed down to bare metal and painted with epoxy primer and cellulose basecoat and lacquer. The shell is solid and as far as i can see has never been welded, only the wheel arches have been undersealed from new to protect them the floorplan hasn't.
I have fitted new rear brake cylinders, shoes and brake pipes.Reconditioned the front brake calipers and fitted new pads. Reconditioned the brake master cylinder.
It has 5 Continental tyres fitted with around at least 5 mm of tread left
Engine wise all it needed was a good service, fitted electronic ignition (all inside the distributor) stripped carbs and fitted new floats and needle valves, flushed petrol tank out ,stripped fuel pump and fit inline fuel filters.New exhaust rear section is stainless
All the chrome is original and good, the interior is all original and mostly good (apart from the usual seat problem got the material to do them included in sale if new owner wants to do them), headlining good apart from a bit around o/s quarter light (doesn't bother me but can be repaired by new owner ) Door cards are good no speaker holes and not warped either.
On the road there are no rattles or bangs and the engine pulls well and the auto box changes smoothly, oil pressure is excellent, power steering works as it should. There are no oil or other fluid leaks anywhere that i can see.
I would strongly recommend you come and look at the car, it's in a well lit garage and you are welcome to use my trolley jacks to inspect it .
